In a decisive move against the illegal extraction and transportation of  minor minerals, District Mining Officer, Gulshan Kumar led a comprehensive overnight operation targeting various areas, including Lalyal, Chatha, Miran Sahib, Kullian, Nikki-Wadi Tawi and nearby regions.

The team, under the guidance of DMO, intercepted five vehicles involved in the unauthorized transportation of minerals. Each vehicle, originating from Kullian, Phallian Mandal, Miran Sahib, Belicherana and Canal Road areas, was found lacking the necessary FormA (e-Challan), rendering their transportation invalid and in violation of mining regulations.

In a swift response, all five vehicles were seized on the spot and subsequently handed over to the respective Police Stations and Police Chowki for secure custody. The move aims to ensure the safekeeping of the seized vehicles until the imposed penalties are realized.

The DMO has reiterated the importance of enforcing strict measures to safeguard the region's natural resources and further instructed the Violators to transport the minerals with valid form A and extract minerals only from legal source otherwise a strict penalty will be imposed on violators.
